Baxter posted a bulletin on February 26, 2024 on CVE-2024-1709 and CVE-2024-1708, vulnerabilities in ConnectWise ScreenConnect 23.9.7 and prior. Baxter describes ConnectWise as a third-party application that can be used to provide remote service.

Baxter says it has not found any indication that its products are affected and sees no privacy impact. If a product turns out to use an affected version, it will post that and the available mitigations on its Product Security page or the Hillrom Responsible Disclosure page.

Remote service tools are a short path into a clinical network. Every vendor support channel, and the software version behind it, belongs in the device inventory.
