Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies published a product security bulletin on NAME:WRECK on August 25, 2021. The company said it is aware of and monitoring NAME:WRECK and is assessing whether it creates a measurable cybersecurity risk to its products.

Two products are listed: the Trima Accel Automated Blood Collection System and the Quantum Cell Expansion System. The list does not indicate patch or device status. NAME:WRECK is a set of DNS-parsing flaws in embedded TCP/IP stacks, so owners should ask Terumo which stack each device uses and keep both off networks that resolve untrusted names.
