On January 28, 2025, Philips posted a notice on CVE-2024-11477 and CVE-2025-0411 in 7-Zip, the open-source file archiver. Philips called them critical: if exploited, they could let remote attackers execute malicious code on a victim's system. PIC iX is the listed product.

Archive tools on a monitoring station are there for service and log handling. Fewer tools on the clinical host means fewer notices like this one.

Update 7-Zip through Philips service, and keep users from opening archives received from outside on the station.
