KARL STORZ published a security notice on July 16, 2024 for CVE-2024-30078, a remote code execution vulnerability in the Windows Wi-Fi driver. All versions of the WD300 AIDA and WD310 AIDA C are Wi-Fi capable and potentially affected.

Wi-Fi is disabled by default, but the vulnerability may be exploitable if someone enabled it manually. KARL STORZ recommends disabling the Wi-Fi feature. A radio flaw needs only an attacker within range, so check the units in the field instead of trusting the factory setting.
