Hologic issued bulletin CTB-01038 on March 15, 2022 on the PTC Axeda agent and Axeda Desktop Server vulnerabilities described in CISA advisory ICSA-22-067-01. Every Hologic product system with Hologic Connect installed is affected.

Hologic considers the risk low because the products are not internet facing. The mitigation is to remove the Axeda services and files following CTB-01038. Removing a remote agent outright leaves nothing to patch.

Verify removal. Check that no Axeda service is running or listening after the procedure.
Confirm no internet exposure. Verify firewall rules keep Hologic systems off the internet.
