Cepheid GeneXpert Xpertise 7.1 needs .NET 8.0.17 for CVE-2025-30399

Cepheid issued a Critical Vulnerability Notification on March 11, 2026 covering GeneXpert Xpertise 7.1, the software that runs Infinity systems. Its .NET runtime component is missing Microsoft's .NET 8.0.17 security update, KB5061935, from June 2025. The named flaw is CVE-2025-30399, a .NET remote code execution vulnerability.

Customers are told to apply KB5061935 from the Microsoft Update Catalog link Cepheid provides. Systems already on automatic updates need no further action. A runtime that sits nine months behind on a published RCE fix is a gap in the update pipeline, and every Infinity site should check whether its own updates actually reach that box.
