Cepheid published a Critical Vulnerability Notification on March 11, 2026 for the Apache OpenOffice component of GeneXpert Xpertise 7.1. The installed suite predates 4.1.16. Cepheid lists CVE-2025-64401 to CVE-2025-64407 in scope, along with CVE-2025-47997 and CVE-2025-55231, and says they could lead to remote code execution, memory corruption or denial of service.

Apache's 4.1.16 release carries the fixes, and Cepheid links the installer. Sites with auto update disabled must install it by hand. An office suite on a diagnostic workstation is a document parser waiting for a malicious file, so ask whether it needs to be there at all.
