Boston Scientific flags Axeda flaws in the Model 3300 LATITUDE Programming System

Boston Scientific published an Axeda alert, Revision 1.0, on March 8, 2022, for the Model 3300 LATITUDE Programming System. CyberMDX and Boston Scientific coordinated disclosure of CVE-2022-25249 and CVE-2022-25252 in the Axeda software used on the programmer.

Exploitation requires physical access to the programmer, and Boston Scientific initiated a previously planned replacement of Axeda. A physical-access precondition on a programmer that travels between clinics is a custody question, so keep track of where each unit is.

Boston Scientific is replacing Axeda on the Model 3300 LATITUDE Programming System as a previously planned change. Because exploitation needs physical access, keep programmers in controlled custody until the replacement reaches every unit.

Track programmer custody. Know where each Model 3300 programmer is and who has it.
Take the Axeda replacement. Install Boston Scientific's update that removes Axeda when offered.
Report tampering. Send any programmer with signs of physical tampering back to Boston Scientific.
