Boston Scientific published a statement, Revision 1, on January 3, 2020. Two SonicWall firewall appliances sold as optional Network Security Devices for the iLAB Ultrasound Imaging System and POLARIS Imaging System are affected by the URGENT/11 IPnet TCP/IP stack vulnerabilities.
No Boston Scientific device uses the affected IPnet stack, and no exploitation has been reported. The exposed part is the appliance bought to protect the imaging system, and it needs the same patch cadence as any perimeter firewall.
